I think it is fair to assume, the best bowl game this year is the 2011 Tostitos BCS National Championship Game. It involves two teams that have never played for the BCS Title. Both the Ducks and the Auburn Tigers have been snubbed by the BCS before. Finally, you have the PAC 10 vs the SEC for the first time in the BCS Championship Game. With this in mind, this poll does not include the National Championship Game. I'm not going to break down all the major flaws with this ridiculous logic...I'm just going to mention the 800 pound gorilla people ignore when talking about the "Heisman Trophy Curse." And that's the SEC. Both the Florida Gators Tim Tebow and the Alabama Crimson Tide's Mark Ingram won a Heisman and National Championships. Tebow won one the year after winning his Heisman, and Ingram won both in the same year. The SEC is also the reason some Heisman winners never won a championship. OU's QB, Jason White, won a Heisman but lost to LSU in the National Championship Game. Troy Smith and Sam Bradford both won the Heisman, but both then lost to Florida in the Championship Game. I actually live in Eugene, OR and have heard some of the local radio hosts saying the Oregon Ducks will be motivated after Heisman Trophy Runner-up LaMichael James lost to Cam. Really? They need a Heisman loss to be motivated for the Championship Game...I'll have to disagree. At least I hope not. The words "BCS NATIONAL TITLE" should be enough to motivate someone. The Ducks are known for having new uniforms made by Nike for each game, and the 2011 Tostitos BCS National Championship is no different. Since the Ducks finished #2 in the final BCS poll, they have to wear white uniforms. This somewhat limits the possibilities of different uniforms Nike could come with. Anyways, what do you think of the new uniforms (pictured) the Ducks will be wearing?

The Boise State Broncos find themselves undefeated, and once again it seems as though they have no shot of getting into the BCS National Championship Game. If there is either no undefeated or only one other undefeated team, Does Boise State Deserve a Chance in the BCS Championship Game?
The way the current system is playing out seems unfair to me. In week ten of the 2011 college football season, the LSU Tigers traveled to Tuscaloosa, AL and beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in overtime. Therefore, LSU was able to win the SEC West over Bama. Right now it appears that Bama and LSU will play each other in the BCS National Championship Game. Because LSU beat Bama, they are being forced to play the SEC Championship Game versus the #14 Georgia Bulldogs, while Alabama gets to sit at home and begin bowl preparation a week early. Essentially, by losing to LSU, Bama was given a bye-week while the winning team has to play an extra game against a formidable opponent.Is this fair? Should Bama be given the de facto bye-week?

Remember when Southern Cal beat OU, 55-19, in the 2004 national championship game? It's now been scratched from the record. The NCAA announced today it has vacated USC's 2004 title because former running back Reggie Bush — who already had his Heisman Trophy stripped from him — was ruled ineligible for receiving improper benefits. But Sooner fans shouldn't get overly excited; the NCAA also announced there would be no replacement champion.

The Alabama Crimson Tide lost a defensive slugfest versus the LSU Tigers at home in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The final score was 9-6 that ended in overtime, but Bama missed four field goals in the game. This left many unsure of who has the better team. Do you want to see an Alabama vs LSU rematch in the BCS Championship Game?
The Wisconsin Badgers will face the Michigan State Spartans on Sat, Dec 3 at 8:00 PM ET in Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, IN. The Badgers find themselves currently ranked 15 in the BCS Standings, and are two last second plays away from being undefeated and in perfect position to play in the BCS National Championship game. They will be looking for revenge against the Spartans because one of those last second plays occurred to them the first time these teams met in the regular season. In that game, MSU quarterback, Kirk Cousins, beat Wisconsin by throwing a 44 yard Hail Mary to Keith Nichol as time ran out. After having the very same thing happen to them a week later against the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Badgers have now won four in a row.Michigan State is currently ranked 13 in the BCS Standings due to losses versus the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Like the Badgers, the Spartans enter the inaugural Big 10 Championship Game having won their last four games in a row. These teams are very evenly matched up. Last time they played, the game came down to the final play. I expect the same to occur in the Championship Game. I give Wisconsin a slight nod because of quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Montee Ball. They will be the two best players on the field. The winner of this game will face the winner of the inaugural PAC 12 Championship Game between UCLA and Oregon in the Rose Bowl.What do you think? The Oklahoma State Cowboys are behind the Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS Rankings. The Cowboys have one more game left versus a top ten opponent in the Oklahoma Sooners. Alabama has already played the LSU Tigers and lost at home. If OSU beats Oklahoma, will they go to the BCS National Championship Game?
11) VCU vs (8) Butler will be the first time two teams seeded 8 or higher will play each other in the 2011 Final Four. This match-up guarantees a team from a mid-major conference will be in the National Championship Game for the second year in a row in College Basketball. Both of the so called "little guys" slew through the their bracket against the "Big ol' Boys from the Big Conferences" they supposedly "can't hang with." Virginia Commonwealth University Rams Road to the Final Four VCU began it's tournament in the 1st Round on March 16 defeating the (11) USC Trojans of the Pac 12 Conference 59 to 46. Two days later, they blew out the (6) Georgetown Hoyas from the Big East 74 to 56. In the 3rd round, they stomped the (3) Purdue Boilermakers from the Big 10 Conference 94 to 76. It wasn't until the Sweet Sixteen against the ACC's (10) Florida State Seminoles that the Rams would be challenged. Yet, once again they were able to triumph over one of the "Big Boys" 72 to 71. In the Elite 8, they defeated the #1 Seed Kansas Jayhawks from the Big 12 Conference by ten points, 71 to 61. This means the 11th seeded VCU Rams had to play the 11, 10, 6, 3, and #1 seeded teams from the Southwest Bracket. Butler University Bulldogs Road to the Final Four Unlike the VCU Rams, Butler did not have to play in the first round and began their tournament defeating the (9) ODU Monarchs 60 to 58 on March 17. They next defeated the #1 Pittsburgh Panthers from the Big East 70 to 71 in the 3rd Round. Next, the Rams beat the Big 10's (4) Wisconsin Badgers 61 to 54 in the Sweet Sixteen. In their last game, Butler was able to beat the SEC's highest seeded team, the (2) Florida Gators, in the Elite 8 by three points, 74 to 71. The Bulldogs Road to the Final Four included wins over teams seeded 9, 4, 2, and 1 from the Southeast Bracket. There is no doubt these two teams have already been thoroughly tested in the NCAA Tournament, and now they both stand one game away from an opportunity of playing for a National Championship Trophy.
