I think it is fair to assume, the best bowl game this year is the 2011 Tostitos BCS National Championship Game. It involves two teams that have never played for the BCS Title. Both the Ducks and the Auburn Tigers have been snubbed by the BCS before. Finally, you have the PAC 10 vs the SEC for the first time in the BCS Championship Game. With this in mind, this poll does not include the National Championship Game. There are other great games though. From the Bowl Games Provided, What is the Best 2010-11 College Football Bowl Game to watch?
The Alabama Crimson Tide lost a defensive slugfest versus the LSU Tigers at home in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The final score was 9-6 that ended in overtime, but Bama missed four field goals in the game. This left many unsure of who has the better team. Do you want to see an Alabama vs LSU rematch in the BCS Championship Game?
The Boise State Broncos find themselves undefeated, and once again it seems as though they have no shot of getting into the BCS National Championship Game. If there is either no undefeated or only one other undefeated team, Does Boise State Deserve a Chance in the BCS Championship Game?
The Ducks are known for having new uniforms made by Nike for each game, and the 2011 Tostitos BCS National Championship is no different. Since the Ducks finished #2 in the final BCS poll, they have to wear white uniforms. This somewhat limits the possibilities of different uniforms Nike could come with. Anyways, what do you think of the new uniforms (pictured) the Ducks will be wearing?
This is the first of many polls that will be made covering the 2011 BCS National Championship Game between the Oregon Ducks and the Auburn Tigers. Simply put, Who Wins the Game?
I'm not going to break down all the major flaws with this ridiculous logic...I'm just going to mention the 800 pound gorilla people ignore when talking about the "Heisman Trophy Curse." And that's the SEC. Both the Florida Gators Tim Tebow and the Alabama Crimson Tide's Mark Ingram won a Heisman and National Championships. Tebow won one the year after winning his Heisman, and Ingram won both in the same year. The SEC is also the reason some Heisman winners never won a championship. OU's QB, Jason White, won a Heisman but lost to LSU in the National Championship Game. Troy Smith and Sam Bradford both won the Heisman, but both then lost to Florida in the Championship Game. I actually live in Eugene, OR and have heard some of the local radio hosts saying the Oregon Ducks will be motivated after Heisman Trophy Runner-up LaMichael James lost to Cam. Really? They need a Heisman loss to be motivated for the Championship Game...I'll have to disagree. At least I hope not. The words "BCS NATIONAL TITLE" should be enough to motivate someone. The Heisman Curse Does Not Apply! Am I Right?War Damn Eagle!
The Clemson Tigers will face the Virginia Tech Hokies in Charlotte, NC on Sat, Dec 3 at 8:00 PM ET in the 2011 ACC Championship Game for a spot in a BCS Bowl Game. These two teams met in week five when Clemson dominated the Hokies in their house 23-3. At that time, the Tigers were on fire. They beat the Auburn Tigers, the FSU Seminoles, and then the Hokies in a row. Since their first meeting, the Hokies have been dominating their competition and enter the ACC Championship with a seven game winning streak. The Tigers, on the other hand, have struggled, losing three of their last four games. Generally speaking, Clemson has the better offense and VA Tech has the better defense. I expect a better game this time around. The Tigers have lost whatever spark was carrying them earlier in the season, and the Hokies seemed to have found it. I think the Hokies will not only win this game, but they will completely turn the tide on the Tigers and dominate them. What do you think?Clemson vs Virginia Tech Who will win the ACC Championship Game?
The way the current system is playing out seems unfair to me. In week ten of the 2011 college football season, the LSU Tigers traveled to Tuscaloosa, AL and beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in overtime. Therefore, LSU was able to win the SEC West over Bama. Right now it appears that Bama and LSU will play each other in the BCS National Championship Game. Because LSU beat Bama, they are being forced to play the SEC Championship Game versus the #14 Georgia Bulldogs, while Alabama gets to sit at home and begin bowl preparation a week early. Essentially, by losing to LSU, Bama was given a bye-week while the winning team has to play an extra game against a formidable opponent. Is this fair? Should Bama be given the de facto bye-week?
The saying goes, "To be the Man, You have to Beat the Man." In the BCS Era of College Football, the Southeastern Conference has definitely been the Man.The SEC has won the last five BCS Championship Games with four different teams. They have won the last four BCS Championship Games with four different teams. Les Miles claims ''The highest-ranked team to come out of this conference should well have an opportunity to play in the national championship game.'' Is Les Miles Right? Should the Highest Ranked SEC Team Be in the Championship Game?Breakdown of BCS Championships by ConferenceSEC: 7 appearances, 7 wins and no losses; Florida Gators (2-0)LSU Tigers (2-0)Alabama Crimson Tide (1-0)Tennessee Volunteers (1-0)Auburn Tigers (1-0)PAC 10: 2 appearances, 1 loss, 1 vacated winUSC Trojans (0-1)USC Trojans vacated 2004Oregon Ducks (0-1)Big 12: 7 appearances, 2 wins, 5 losses; Oklahoma Sooners (1-3)Texas Longhorns (1-1)Nebraska Cornhuskers (0-1)Big 10: 3 appearances, 1 win, 2 lossesOhio State Buckeyes (1-2)ACC: 3 appearances, 1 win, 2 losses Florida State Seminoles (1-2)Big East: 3 appearances, 1 win, 2 losses Miami Hurricanes (1-1)Virginia Tech Hokies (0-1)
The Dawgs are 2-4 so far this season and looked awful in both their wins and losses. The score from their recent game against Tennessee may suggest a beat down, but if you actually watched the game you know it was sloppy. The win against UT may calm the calls for Mark Richt's job, but they are far from gone. This team has too much talent every year to not be competing for National Championships regularly. If you follow recruiting, then you know exactly what I mean. Even if you don't believe recruiting sites are accurate, they aren't this off either. Multiple top 10 recruiting classes tend to yield championship caliber teams, however, this has not been the result for Georgia. The Dawgs have had good teams, but never a team with a realistic shot at a BCS championship. Yes, they finished second in the polls one year, but weren't in the Championship game because they didn't win the SEC. One of the year's the Dawgs did win the SEC, they were beat down by West Virginia in the Sugar Bowl. Something just isn't clicking and I believe Mark Right is to blame. He may be a great man and this should be acknowledged. The fact he adopts so many needy children is something to be admired by us all. However, this is college football and he's paid millions to bring the Dawgs Championships. There is too much talent on that team to be 2-4. I think it's time the Dawgs should part ways from Mark Richt!!! Am I right or am I wrong?

The Wisconsin Badgers will face the Michigan State Spartans on Sat, Dec 3 at 8:00 PM ET in Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, IN. The Badgers find themselves currently ranked 15 in the BCS Standings, and are two last second plays away from being undefeated and in perfect position to play in the BCS National Championship game. They will be looking for revenge against the Spartans because one of those last second plays occurred to them the first time these teams met in the regular season. In that game, MSU quarterback, Kirk Cousins, beat Wisconsin by throwing a 44 yard Hail Mary to Keith Nichol as time ran out. After having the very same thing happen to them a week later against the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Badgers have now won four in a row.Michigan State is currently ranked 13 in the BCS Standings due to losses versus the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Like the Badgers, the Spartans enter the inaugural Big 10 Championship Game having won their last four games in a row. These teams are very evenly matched up. Last time they played, the game came down to the final play. I expect the same to occur in the Championship Game. I give Wisconsin a slight nod because of quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Montee Ball. They will be the two best players on the field. The winner of this game will face the winner of the inaugural PAC 12 Championship Game between UCLA and Oregon in the Rose Bowl. What do you think? Wisconsin vs Michigan State - Who Wins the 1st Big 10 Championship Game?
The first PAC 12 Championship Game will be held on Fri, Dec 2, 2011 at 8:00 PM ET when the UCLA Bruins travel to Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR to play the Oregon Ducks. The Bruins are 6-6 and are coming off a 50-0 blowout loss to their main rival, the USC Trojans. UCLA has been far from stellar this season, and even suffered an embarrassing loss to the non-BCS Houston Cougars in week one. On the other hand, the Ducks have had a pretty good season. To some Oregon fans, this season might be somewhat of a letdown. Last year, the Ducks were undefeated in the regular season but lost to the Auburn Tigers in the BCS National Championship Game. Many, if not most, Ducks fans were expecting to make it back to the big game again, but had their dreams shattered after losing to the LSU Tigers in week one. The winner clinches a bid to go to the Rose Bowl to face the winner of the Big 10 Championship Game. As 30½-point favorites, is there anyway the Ducks can actually lose to the Bruins? Seriously, does UCLA have any shot at pulling the major upset?UCLA Bruins vs Oregon Ducks Who wins the 1st PAC 12 Championship Game?
In the 2011 SEC Championship Game, the LSU Tigers will play the Georgia Bulldogs in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA. This is the first of many polls covering the game and is just asking who do you think will win?
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia's 2013 football game against the University of Maryland in the Baltimore Ravens' stadium won't be the first trip to a pro stadium in the area. Multiple sources familiar with the arrangement say WVU is close to finalizing an agreement to play James Madison in 2012 at FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins. The game would be Sept. 15, the third game of the regular season, in Landover, Md. The contract makes it a home game for the Mountaineers, but the Dukes expect to have a strong showing in the stands. JMU, a Football Championship Subdivision school in Harrisonburg, Va., is guaranteed $350,000 for the game, but can make an additional $150,000 in an attendance incentive. The Dukes, who have about 20,000 alumni in the Washington, D.C., metro area, would make $10 for every ticket sold beyond 42,500 up to 57,500. Virginia Tech and Boise State played before a sell-out crowd of 86,587 at FedEx Field in September. WVU's guarantee is to be greater than $2 million, which is right around what it makes for a home game, and shy of the payout for the 2016 game against BYU at FedEx Field. The Mountaineers will make $2.25 million for that game. With the JMU game, WVU has completed its schedules through 2014. WVU officials declined to comment on the game with no contract in place. WVU and JMU have only played once. The Mountaineers beat the Dukes 45-10 in 2004, the year JMU won the FCS national championship. Go to Source
