Urban Meyer has won at every school he has ever coached at in college football. He began his career as head coach at Bowling Green. He immediately turned the Falcons around by going to a bowl in both his two seasons and had a total record of 17-6.

Meyer's next stop on the coaching carousel would be with the Utah Utes. In two seasons, he was 22-2. He led the Utes to the first BCS Bowl game for a non-BCS school and beat the Pittsburgh Panthers in the Fiesta Bowl. After having so much success, he got his big call and shot from the Florida Gators.

In 2005, Meyer became the head coach for the Gators. At Florida, Meyer won two BCS National Championships and coached one Heisman Trophy Winner. He left the Florida job after the 2010 season with a 66-15 record in six seasons.

It is possible that Meyer will become head coach of The Ohio State Buckeyes next season. His overall coaching record is 104-23.

Can Urban Meyer win at Ohio State?

Michael Vick is returning to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA to play his former team, the Atlanta Falcons as the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Matt Ryan replaced Vick as the starting quarterback of the Falcons after Vick was convicted for a dog fighting ring, and has played great, now in his fourth year in the NFL.

However, if I was a Falcons fan, I'm not sure which one I would prefer on my team. Vick or Ryan? How about you, who would you prefer?

How ridiculous is this starting to sound: you want a book to read well hey "there's an app for that". You lock your keys in the car... don't worry "there's an app for that". Don't get me wrong, I love the convenience of everything being right at my fingertips, but what if the locking your keys in the car gets a little more serious: you locked your phone in there too. Is there an app for that? Will someone know what to do (that causes the least damage) now that they don't have their phone? I was sitting in the bowling alley with my best friend the other day and he wanted to see the best bowling situation with how the oil was laid out on the lanes... well guess what "there's an app for that". I was like "what the heck?!". I think this app thing is getting a little out of control and is possibly making it so people don't know what to do if they DON'T have their phone with all its apps.

Father of the little girl, Christina Green, the youngest victim in the recent Tuscon Massacre, decided to donate his young daughters organs to save another child's life. This took a lot of courage and heart on the part of John Green, and he says he would like to one day meet the little girl living in Boston whose life was saved with Christina's organs.

If you lose a child as a mother or a father, would you make the same choice as John Green?

Michael Vick is one of the most electrifying players in the National Football League. He is a threat to score a touchdown whenever the ball is in his hands. He was the first pick in the 2001 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. In six seasons with the Falcons, he led them twice to the playoffs and made the Pro Bowl three times.

Vick next spent two years out of the NFL due to involvement with a dog fighting ring. After spending time in prison, Vick was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009. In 2010, he led the Eagles to the playoffs and made the Pro Bowl for the fourth time.

This season, however, the Eagles are struggling and some of the blame belongs to Vick. It is doubtful the Eagles make the playoffs this season. However, the question is about the future. Does Vick have the skills as a quarterback to ever win the big game. There is no doubt he has the running ability, but is he good enough to fulfill the traditional role of quarterback too?

Is Michael Vick capable of winning a Super Bowl?

Julio Jones, WR for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, and AJ Green, WR for the University of Georgia Bulldogs, are considered the two best wide receivers entering the 2011 NFL Draft.

Jones and Green began their college careers in 2008. According to ESPN College Football Recruiting Rankings, Jones was the #1 WR coming out of high school and the #2 overall player in the nation and Green was the #2 WR and the #5 overall player. Mel Kiper and Todd McShay, ESPN NFL Draft Analysts, believe Green will be the #1 WR picked and Jones will be #2.

AJ Green Statistics at the University of Georgia Bulldogs
166 receptions; 2,619 yards receiving; 15.8 yards per catch, 65 yard long; and 23 TD's

Julio Jones Statistics at the University of Alabama Crimson Tide
179 receptions; 2,653 yards receiving; 14.8 yards per catch, 73 yard long; and 15 TD's; 8 rushing attempts for 135 yards, 56 yard long, and 2 TD's

Both players have been exceptional for their teams, however, I have to agree with Kiper and McShay. I think AJ Green is a little bit better. I think he has a little more speed and is a slightly better route runner.

"Green Lantern" is, sadly, like a lot of its genre counterparts.

Superhero flicks are being churned out faster than offspring from the womb of Octomom these days. Apart from a few true gems, they tend to be hollow, lifeless affairs, the product of an era overwrought by two-dimensional storytelling, computer-generated environments and pretty faces devoid of much thespian talent.

"Green Screen" – err, I mean "Green Lantern" – is more of the same.

"Green Lantern" chronicles the rise of Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds), a maverick pilot, who is chosen to become a member of the Green Lanterns – an intergalactic coalition that fights to maintain peace in the universe – following the death of another.

When a monster called Parallax begins preying on fear throughout the cosmos, the Green Lanterns must stop it and Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard), who has stumbled upon its power, before it comes after them, Earth, and Hal's love interest, Carol Ferris (Blake Lively).

"Green Lantern" suffers from the same symptoms that have plagued many of its fellow cinematic superhero ilk: it's void of any sense of significance. Instead, "Green Lantern" is a soulless and unsatisfying 114 minutes of cinema wholly dominated by tiresome exposition and cheap popcorn thrills.

The film does show promise, like in its almost-rousing third act in which the visually impressive (and downright terrifying) Parallax wreaks havoc on an unsuspecting city. However, once it finally seems as though "Green Lantern" finds its feet as a piece of harmless, summer fun, the joy is over and the credits begin to roll.

I don't ask for much when it comes to tentpole summer releases other than pure, unadulterated entertainment value. I don't expect every superhero film to carry the same kind of narrative and allegorical weight as "The Dark Knight" or "Watchmen," but if it's going to be entirely superficial, at least don't make it two-plus acts of coma-inducing dénouement.

Director Michael Campbell – who helmed two widely loved Bond films, "GoldenEye" and "Casino Royale" – deserves much of the blame. His direction plods, skips mischievously around any semblance of character development and is inert and plastic.

Even the CGI – and it was disappointingly abundant – was lackluster, an admonishment unforgivable when much of the film takes place in outer space. If I have to say "'Thor' did it better," something is clearly amiss.

Even more egregious is the fact that Reynolds' Green Lantern suit is entirely CG, a decision I am yet to fully comprehend the merits of.

If "Green Lantern" can be praised for anything, however, it's Blake Lively … and not because of her acting, but because she's eye candy. In fact, the cast's performances are subpar all around, even with the inclusion of the once-mighty Tim Robbins. Shame, because there are flashes of wit and charisma from Reynolds, but they quickly dissipate as the film jolts away to more throw-away silliness.

In quite possibly the most rousing moment of the film, a follow-up to "Green Lantern" is teased during the end credits. Sadly, you have to wade through two hours of sheer boredom and lifelessness to get to it.

Even so, why bother being excited? By that time, "Green Lantern" will likely have you green in the face.

Verdict: 1.5 stars (out of 5)

-Sun, Dec 18 @ Kansas City Chiefs (4-6 and third in AFC West)
-Sun, Dec 25 vs Chicago Bears (7-3 and second in NFC North)

Do you think the Packers will finish with a perfect season and win the Super Bowl?

The Green Bay Packers are favored by -2.5 points, but the Pittsburgh Steelers have the better record and overall team statistics. The Steelers were 12-4 and the Packers were only 10-6. Compare the statistics below:

Pittsburgh Steelers Statistics (NFL Rank/Actual):
Passing Yards: 14th, 225.1
Rushing Yards: 11th, 120.3
Opponent Passing Yards: 12th, 214.1
Opponent Rushing Yards: 1st, 62.8

Green Bay Packers Statistics (NFL Rank/Actual)
Passing Yards: 5th, 257.8
Rushing Yards: 24th, 100.4
Opponent Passing Yards: 5th, 194.2
Opponent Rushing Yards: 18th, 114.9

It could be argued that the statistics favor Green Bay, but I think the statistics suggest the Steelers will make the Green Bay one dimensional and then focus on pass coverage D. Green Bay doesn't have a running threat against the Steelers. They will have to pass the football.

Anyways, do you think the odds-makers got it right? Should the Packers be favored over the Steelers?
