Who will be the best permanent head coach for the Dallas Cowboys? There are several choices but which one will be the best fit for Jerry Jones' unique style of management and which one will give the Cowboys the best chance to win?
The Cowboys have been the big boys in the state of Texas forever. However, the Houstan Texans have been slowly but surely building a great team and catching up over the years. This year, the Texans are 2-0 and the Cowboys are 0-2. Are the Texans now already the best team in Texas? If they beat Dallas this weekend, will that make Houstan the best team in Texas
At the end of the Dallas Cowboys versus Arizona Cardinals game, Jason Garrett sent his field goal unit out to win the game. Before the ball was snapped, Garrett called a timeout and then the kicker made the field goal. It didn't count, and then the cowboys missed the field goal when they lined back up. Some are saying Garrett iced his own kicker. Watch the video and then answer the question:Did Jason Garrett ice his kicker in the Dallas game against Arizona?
While at a recent Cowboys game, the couple seen in the video started getting it on...the Cowboys do suck, so you might as well entertain yourself in other ways :) However, what if you were in the crowd when this was going on. Would you encourage it like the people in the video or would you be pissed? Record it and upload it to YouTube? Or Report it to Security?
It was deja vu for the No. 2-seeded Oklahoma Sooners on Friday in Fort Worth as they dropped their first game in regional action, 3-2 in 10 innings, to the Dallas Baptist Patriots. The Sooners played the Patriots in a midweek game April 19 in Norman and lost by the same score. Senior starting pitcher Brandon Williams started both games for Dallas Baptist.
DeMarco Murray was the guest host for Friday's portion of the Adrian Peterson Football Camp in Norman.Murray, who was drafted in the third round by the Dallas Cowboys in April, took some time out to speak with The Oklahoman. What is your favorite part about working camps like this?Just interacting with the kids and seeing the smile on their face. It just kind of lights you up inside. What was your first thought when you got drafted by the Cowboys?Unbelievable. I never thought in a million years I would go there. Just right up the road from here. I just feel blessed and it is a great opportunity for me.You have played in Cowboy Stadium before, but what is it like knowing that is your home stadium? It is going to be crazy. They have a great facility and the stadium speaks for itself. It is a blessing and every home game is going to be fun. What are you hearing about the current lockout situation?I really don't know, everything is mixed signals. I hear two weeks, I hear one month, I hear August. I pretty much hear the same thing everybody else does, just looking at it on ESPN.What was your most memorable game at Oklahoma?Definitely my freshman year, the Texas game. It was mine and Sam's first year playing in that game and we made a point to not lose it. I ended up coming out 2-2 in my career, but those games are always fun. What was your most memorable play at Oklahoma? When I broke the touchdown record last year here (at Owen Field) against Iowa State. It was a great moment for me and just an unbelievable feeling.Who is your NFL comparison at the running back?I'd like to think Ladainian Tomlinson. The way he is so elusive and can run inside and outside, catch the ball out of the backfield and pick up blocks. I definitely try to model my game after him.Is there any NFL defense you are excited to go against?None of them. There is not a particular defense I'm looking forward to. We don't play the Steelers or Ravens this year, so that is a plus.

Nine weeks into the 2011 NFL Season, the Philadelphia Eagles find themselves with three wins and six losses, and are currently third in the NFC East. Typically, nine or ten wins is enough for a team to make the playoffs. The Eagles have the following games left on their scheduleSun, Nov 20 @ New York Giants (6-3, 1st in NFC East)Sun, Nov 27 vs New England Patriots (6-3, 1st in AFC East)Thu, Dec 1 @ Seattle Seahawks (3-6, 2nd in NFC West)Sun, Dec 11 @ Miami Dolphins (2-7, 4th in AFC East)Sun, Dec 18 vs New York Jets (5-4, 2nd in AFC East)Sat, Dec 24 @ Dallas Cowboys (5-4, 2nd in NFC East)Sun, Jan 1 vs Washington Redskins (3-6, 3rd in NFC East)With that schedule left to play, Will the Philadelphia Eagles make the playoffs?
The Oklahoma State Cowboys finished 3rd in the Final BCS Standings even though they blew-out the #10 Oklahoma Sooners in their final game of the season. They were ranked behind the Alabama Crimson Tide and will not go to the BCS National Championship Game at the Sugar Bowl. This seems unfair to many. OSU beat seven teams with an above .500 win percentage to Bama's three, and they won four games against ranked opponents to Bama's three. Also, Alabama has already played the LSU Tigers and lost at home this season. OSU should get their shot! The argument against the Cowboys is the fact they lost to a 6-6 Iowa State team and Bama lost against the #1 LSU Tigers. This is clearly a worse loss. Many have also stated that they know the Tide is better than the Cowboys even though they haven't played. This is purely subjective speculation. I think OSU was ripped off by the BCS, do you agree?
After being the target of much ridicule and anger, the Big Three of the Miami Heat, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh, have quieted critics and disappointed those hoping for their demise by making the NBA Finals Championship. The Big Three open the series vs the Dallas Mavericks led by Dirk Nowitzki in Miami on Tuesday May 31, 2011. So who wins this game?
QB Jake Locker of the Washington Huskies was voted by whosright users as the best player in the PAC 10 before the season started. After the first week of football, who's the best player in the PAC 10? Locker was 20-37 for 266 yards and a touchdown. His QB Rating was 123.36. Locker also carried the ball 11 times for 29 yards and a touchdown in a loss against BYU. QB Andrew Luck from Stanford completed 17 out of 23 pass attempts for 316 yards and 4 touchdowns. His QB rating was 246.71 in a win over Sacramento State. RB Jacquizz Rodgers from Oregon St carried the ball 18 times for 75 yards and one touchdown in a loss against TCU in the stadium of the Dallas Cowboys. He averaged 4.2 yards and had a long of 16 yards. RB LaMichael James from Oregon did not play. After a 5 touchdown performance in a win against Hawaii, QB Matt Barkley from USC was able to fight his way onto the whosright short list of best players from the PAC 10. He completed 18 of 23 pass attempts for 257 yards. Barkley finished the game with a QB rating of 243.86.See last week's poll: College Football, Week 1: Who's the best player in the PAC 10?
Through the first eleven weeks of the 2011 college football season, the Stanford Cardinal's quarterback, Andrew Luck, dominated the Heisman Trophy race and discussion. However, following a close win to the USC Trojans and then losing the next week to the Oregon Ducks, Luck no longer leads in the race for the Heisman Trophy Award. Instead, the quarterback of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Brandon Weeden, is now considered the front-runner.Weeden has led the Cowboys to an undefeated season thus far and has them currently ranked #2 in the BCS standings. Though he is currently the leader, he has not separated himself from the rest of the hopefuls. He does, however, still have to play the #5 Oklahoma Sooners. If the Cowboys beat the Sooners, then they are going to the BCS National Championship Game in New Orleans, LA. One of the major, if not most important qualifications needed by a quarterback to win the award is to have his team in contention for the National Championship. The only thing that can stop the Cowboys from going to the BCS Title Game is if the Sooners beat them.If Weeden is able to beat the Sooners and has a descent to good game will he win the Heisman Trophy Award?
