She has been all over the media since the 2008 presidential race. New reports say the Republican establishment think that she is a danger to the party. She backed people like Christine O'Donnell, the not witch, and is a big figure in the tea party. Do you think that the former governor of Alaska helped or hurt the GOP these Midterms?

The only consistent message from the Republican party this year has been to cut taxes and lower the deficit, but is this even possible? It makes no sense to me. If you collect less money than you spend, then you are going to increase the deficit. They say that they will cut spending, but where? If they proposed to cut military spending, I would think they were actually being honest. However, they propose cutting programs that are in place to help those Americans less fortunate than others...this will never happen. They have the audacity to call people who need a helping hand from their fellow brothers and sisters of America "lazy" and not wanting to work. They sometimes call themselves the Christian party, yet they are the first to step on the poor. They call themselves the Christian party, but are more interested in building and expanding our use of weapons of mass murder than giving a fellow American and human being the ability to afford health care. Do you think it is possible to lower the deficit and cut taxes at the same time?

We need look no further than the politics of the state of Israel to see what extremist religion can do with power. The Tea Party in the US, which will determine the winner of the presidential Republican nominating process, is ready to show the world that God wants a final say in US political decision-making.

The Tea Party has emerged as a carbon copy of ultra right wing Zionist forces in Israel. The Tea Party and right-wing political Zionism share a single-minded religious worldview that religious ideology can, and should, exercise absolute control over its citizens.

On June 3-4, at Ralph Reed’s annual Faith and Faithful gathering in Washington, speakers praised God and Israel in equal measure.  Only a few weeks had passed since the leader of a foreign nation came to Washington at the request of Congress.

That leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, showed Americans how to combine religious ideology with political power. The peoples’ representatives cheered mightily to demonstrate their loyalty to a foreign nation operating under a religious ideology that served the interests of political power.

Ralph Reed invited Republican presidential aspirants to speak to his organization of Christian faithful. Sure, they were also there to talk politics.  But their politics are inseparable from their ideological devotion to the modern state of Israel.

Philip Giradi discovered how closely Reed’s speakers adhered to the script of political power and religion.

Support for Israel was on the menu du jour in nearly every speech and for every panel. It dominated the conference. One panel had as its subject “Israel: surrounded yet undaunted in the face of evil.”

Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s oddly named Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, spoke for fifteen minutes about Israel, saying “If we want God to bless America, then we have to bless the Jews. God gave that land to his chosen people forever. That issue is settled by God almighty…Michele Bachmann produced a standing ovation when she cited a “shocking display of betrayal of our greatest friend and ally Israel.” She added “I stand with Israel…President Obama…does not speak for us on the issue of Israel.”

The Reed gathering was just one of several recent Washington displays of love for Israel.

Depending on your political leaning, you may have a bias towards certain news stations. Liberals and Democrats most likely enjoy MSNBC and call Fox News a Republican mouthpiece. Conservatives and Republicans, on the other hand, are most likely fans of Fox News and label MSNBC as a voice for the Democrat party. Those whose views are a little more neutral or balanced are likely to watch CNN and call the other two stations hack jobs. No matter which station a person watches, they are most likely to claim knowledge of an inside job occurring at the other two stations to purposely present the news in a favorable way for their political leanings. This being said, which news source do you find to be the most bias? Of course, I do realize that your decision will be in itself a product of bias, but I am interested in finding out if any of the channels have a stigma for being biased more than the others.

Republican Joe Pitts' (PA) Protect Life Act is a measure forbidding any tax dollars from being spent on abortions via the Healthcare Reform Act. Pitts argued "It is imperative that the federal government stays out of the business of subsidizing the morally objectionable practice of abortion. Abortion is not health care." President Barack Obama says the Healthcare Reform Act does not allow for any federal funding to be spent on abortions. Therefore, Pitts' argues, President Obama should have no problem supporting and signing this bill.

Party Down, one of our favorite Brilliant but Cancelled shows, ran for 20 episodes and ended in 2010. Now there is buzz about a possible Party Down film featuring the cast from the TV show. Articles about the rumor come equipped with tentative headlines like "A Party Down Movie Might Be Possible, Maybe." An article on Indiewire as recent as this April listed reason why a Party Down movie will never happen, But just yesterday, Tuesday June 28, Slashfilm reported that producer Rob Thomas has said a movie deal is in the works. Lizzie Caplan, who played Casey on the show, told Indiewire that "I think that it would probably be easier to make a ‘Party Down’ movie than an ‘Arrested Development’ movie." Now go click through that plethora of links, decide if you think it's likely to happen (remember, Rob Thomas made big promises about a Veronica Mars movie too, and we haven't seen that happen), spend some time watching Party Down clips at the bottom of one of those articles (I can't remember which one) and vote here!

In virtually every Republican primary debate, all of the candidates (except Ron Paul) have made clear Islamophobic and anti-Arab statements. The video provided has an example of one of the Republican Primary Debates. Why do the primary candidates use such hateful and ignorant language when discussing Arabs and Muslims?

Does using racial slurs towards Arabs and Muslims help Republicans gain conservative voters?
