The Boise State Broncos beat the Oregon Ducks in both 2008 and 2009. Yet, the Ducks jumped them in the polls when they have yet to lose a game.

Does this seem fair? Should the Ducks have jumped them so soon in the polls?

I think it was right. Stanford is a harder opponent than anyone Boise St will face all year. The BCS was made for teams in BCS conferences. Oregon plays a harder schedule and thus earns the right to pass Boise State within the system that exists.

I'm all for a plus 1 system, which would give Boise St a chance. However, their schedule is awful. They play teams that BCS schools play for a breather in the season.

Boise St is good, but this is the system that we have right now. Hopefully, this and other similar events will lead to a plus 1 system, but for now this is just how it is.

Lindy's may sound like an Atlanta-based chain of strip clubs, but it's actually a preseason football preview publisher, and it's one of the oldest.

Lindy's was publishing preseason top 25 polls before every joker with an Internet connection and hosting service started doing it. So they usually get it pretty close (as close as preseason polls can be).

Speaking of which, it's important to say that preseason polls are fun and give those of us thirsting in the summer CFB drought something to talk about and abuse each other with.

But the fact that the Coaches and Harris polls release anything before October is downright asinine.

The Auburn Tigers were downright screwed out of a national title shot a few years ago simply because they started too low in a poll that's nothing more than a freaking guess—the good news for Auburn is they were able to buy a title last year to compensate.

But back to the topic. Let's take a look at the teams Lindy's has too high in their rankings, as well as those who they're not giving enough credit to.

Wow, after two great weekends of College Football where number 1 has now switched hands to a 3rd team this season, we have an outstanding slate of games for this Saturday.

Will Oklahoma be able to retain it's number one slot, or will Missouri take down the Sooners and drop the #1 team for the 3rd week in a rows?

How far does AU or LSU jump in the polls after this weekend's game?

That's just a few of the questions this weekend will answer.

Which game do you think has the most impact on the polls following the weekend, and thus is the game you can not miss?

The topic comes up every football season, a team from outside the spectrum of what is considered powerhouses rises to the top of the polls. When this occurs, fans ultimately get around to this topic, "What would (insert team here) do against the Irish?"

While most of the teams listed in this article are no strangers to the top of the polls, the question still comes up every year. What teams would Notre Dame fans like to see on future Irish schedules?

On each Saturday before any of the games begin, the ESPN College Gameday crew gives us a preview of the upcoming matches, introduces us to the big games of the weekend, and each anchor in the crew gives us his prediction for the weekends games. Late at night each Saturday and after all of the games have finished, the ESPN College Gameday Crew gives us a recap and summary of what happened in the weekend's games. They also tell us their impression of each team.

I think they go too far and have too much of an influence on the way voters end up voting because they control which highlights, games, and teams to show the most. They also tell us who they believed looked the best over the weekend. Voters don't have enough time to watch all of the games or do adequate research to know about every team, and thus are forced to rely on other media sources. Do you believe the ESPN College Gameday crew has too much influence on the polls?
