People magazine broke the news yesterday that Holly Durst and Blake Julian from the Bachelor franchise are engaged. The two met while filming the current season of Bachelor Pad 2. The problem is that Holly Durst just ended her engagement to fellow cast mate Michael Stagliano at the beginning of this year. Apparently Michael and Holly were engaged and she broke off their engagement last November, then they got back together but shortly afterwards Michael ended the relationship. They both went on to star in the second season of Bachelor Pad, along with Blake Julian. Over the summer we witnessed Michael deciding he was still in love with Holly but we also witnessed Holly flirting with Blake. One of my many issues with this season of BP was watching Holly pretend she was all broken up about Michael and she was not sure what guy she wanted, Michael or Blake. For me the choice was obvious, Michael. The whole season Blake was a total douche. He lead Melissa Schreiber on (yes, I realize Melissa is crazy but you just don't treat any girl like that) while moving in on Holly. But what pisses me off the most is that Blake proposes to Holly a few days before the last episode was filmed and Holly says yes and does not tell Michael. So Michael finds out that his ex-fiance of less than a year is engaged to another guy on national television. What a bitch move by Holly. Holly's reasoning for not telling Michael is that she could not get a hold of him. Really? What a bunch of s**t! Let's say we believe she could not get a hold of Michael beforehand, Blake did not have to propose and/or Holly did not have to announce the engagement on national television. Obviously Blake and Holly are selfish fame whores. That's my opinion on the situation, what is yours? Was Holly Durst's engagement announcement a total bitch move?
Tonight on The Bachelor Pad there was a twist - only one male contestant was to be voted off. Before hand the cameras caught Kasey Kahl saying that if he was voted out he would punch Jake Pavelka in the mouth before leaving. We also overheard Jake say that if he is voted off he would take some people with him. Chris Harrison announced that the vote was the closest they have ever had in Bachelor Pad history between Kasey and Jake, but Jake was sent home. Then the screen went blank. I had to rewind to watch it a second time. Why didn’t we see Jake’s departure?
Ella Nolan and Kirk Dewindt may be the most boring couple out of the four left on The Bachelor Pad but they are my favorite. We all know that boring doesn't make for good TV and since I believe that most of the reality in reality TV is fabricated by producers, I'm thinking Ella and Kirk will be riding home in a limo next. The reason I like them is that they make a strong and pretty normal type couple. Whereas, the other three are really a mixed bag. Kasey Kahl and Vienna Girardi are weird and it's spooky how they can manipulate a crowd. They aren't even good at it but they have been successful and that's what's so strange. It's got to be the producers directing things again. Holly Durst and Michael Stagliano would be a likable couple if she wasn't so resentful and angry with him. She's mad at him for breaking up with her in the past and now he's got to pay. He looks as if his heart can't break anymore without him falling completely apart. Holly may be trying to see how mean she can be before he hits the floor. Graham Bunn and Michele Money seem like they are getting along really well but I have never liked Michele. She was really psycho on The Bachelor, but maybe that was the result of producers editing. She hasn't punched herself in the eye so far this season. If she did I wonder what Graham would think?Here's how I would rank my favorite duos. I hope the couple ranked number one takes the prize.1. Ella Nolan and Kirk Dewindt - They sound like they can really use the money.2. Graham Bunn and Michele Money - Ranked second only because Graham seems pretty decent.3. I will miss Erica Rose after tonight’s elimination - up to a point. The thing I’ll miss is all the off the wall and wacky things she says, on just about every episode of the Bachelor Pad so far. She started off tonight by telling cameras ” Blake (Julian) doesn’t realize it yet but this is the best thing to ever happen to him (becoming partners with her). I’m a lot smarter than Holly is and in my opinion I am a lot prettier. To me she’s really nothing special and kind of annoying. So Blake just definitely got a big step up.” Blake and Erica won a date and they spent the evening at a classy hotel called the Mission Inn. Bachelor Pad crew set up a romantic dinner for two in the hotel’s courtyard. After dinner they were given an opportunity to stay over night in the fantasy suite. Clearly, Erica thought it was a great idea and began pressuring Blake to accept the invitation. She insisted “ I let Blake know I would be frustrated if he wouldn’t have sex with me. He’s tried being with Melissa (Schreiber) - she was too crazy, he’s tried getting with Holly (Durst). If he tries getting with me it will be with no strings attached.” Blake said that Erica is the kind of girl that gets what she wants and he is right - but not tonight. Blake would have none of what she was pushing. He explained that if roles were reversed and he assumed she would stay with him over night it would be really really weird if he was so persistent. Seriously Erica, didn’t you hear Vienna (Girardi), “No means No!” Erica confided “Blake tells me that me telling the girls I was bringing my really sexy lingerie is the same as if he told the guys he was bringing condoms and I agree and I wish that he had!” Erica has a way of making people feel uncomfortable and sometimes it’s funny, but tonight she was just plain out of line, It was getting to a point where I thought we might see producers get involved. Tonight's episode of the Bachelor Pad focused on Holly Durst's love triangle. She has a decision to make and to me it should be easy. There are two guys going after her, Blake Julian and Michael Stagliano. Both men are good looking, but to me one has a much better heart. Michael has the history with Holly as her former fiance. He has reestablished his love and is willing to give up everything for her. Blake might be new and exciting but to me the guy has nothing more to offer than his perfect teeth. We have watched Blake manipulate Melissa Schreiber to get further along in the game. I know, I know she's crazy but he was an ass to her.The love triangle started brewing during the first episode when Blake commented on Holly's great legs. Since that point they having been flirting, but Holly explains that she flirts with all the guys. She and Michael have been working on mending some broken fences, but Michael is the one that has been pushing to reestablish a future with Holly. In tonight's episode, Blake won the best guy kisser contests and was awarded a rose and a date. Much to Melissa's hysterical objections Blake chose Holly to go on the date with him. Michael hoped that after the date Holly would somehow come back to him. Not a chance... Holly told the cameras "There is a part of me that feels guilty about kissing Blake. But it was the best date - I had so much fun. Now I don't know what to do about Michael.... If Michael finds out how much fun I had on this date it will break his heart.... The sad thing about this date is I haven't thought about Michael at all." It looks like Holly has already chosen, but who would you choose Blake or Michael?

Especially the part at the end when Michael Stagliano and Holly Durst have their little private talk before he gives her the rose. They are a sweet couple and I hope they end up together. Ella Nolan was invited on the date along with Vienna Girardi and Holly and she said that it was great to get out of the house and that she loves to ride horses. During the ride she told the cameras “There are times that I feel sorry for Vienna. There are times when she gets on my nerves. Right now I can’t stand her.” She got that right! As they rode, I tallied up the number of complaints Vienna had and I came up with nine. Bachelor Pad 2 has just concluded, and Michael Stagliano and Holly Durst were crowned the winners and awarded the $250,000 prize to split. The finale started with the four remaining couples, Kirk Dewindt and Ella Nolan, Kasey Kahl and Vienna Girardi, Graham Bunn and Michelle Money, and Michael and Holly competing and performing in the Las Vegas Cirque de Soleil show "Ka." Past Bachelorettes, Ali Fedotowsky and Trista Sutter, and Bachelor, Jason Mesnick, were the judges. In the end, Michael and Holly had the best performance and won the competition. Kirk and Ella had the worst performance and were sent home. Because Michael and Holly won, they got to choose which couple to take to the finale and they decided to take Michelle and Graham. The evicted Bachelor Pad cast members returned for the finale and became the jury and voted on who they believed deserved to win the prize. In the end, Michael and Holly had the most votes and won BP 2. I believe the right couple won, even though Holly did not contribute much to the team. Michael won multiple competitions. Holly just sat back and let Michael do everything. But I guess you could argue that Holly played a good game because she knew that flirting with one of the best competitors (Michael) and flirting with one of the jury members (Blake) would get her where she needed to be in the end. Jackie Gordon was voted off the Bachelor Pad tonight. Ames Brown made a valiant effort to keep her safe by asking Kasey Kahl for help. Kasey, the self professing God Father of the Bachelor Pad, said he would help him. Although, it looks like Kasey went behind his back and actually was one of the people who voted Jackie off. Ames showed the world that he loves Jackie by following her limo down the courtyard and then jumping into the limo to actually leave with her. His hot pink pants made him even more adorable. The whole affair was the best and I watched all the left over bachelorettes stand in awe of their love. My sister texted me “The Ames thing is so sweet!” My grandma called and said she thinks they will get married - I think so too. As hard as they try, Kasey and Vienna Girardi just won’t ever hold a candle to the likes of Ames and Jackie’s love. They are too selfish, annoying and mean to ever gather much popularity. I’m hoping to see their down fall sometime soon. Unfortunately, I think the contestants are too afraid to stand up against them. Jake should consider himself lucky to be past Vienna.
