Denard Robinson part of three Big Ten Network awards

Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was the big winner during the Big Ten Awards Show on Monday night.

Robinson won two awards and his 305-yard passing effort helped Michigan win another award for game of the year for its 67-65 triple-overtime victory over Illinois.

The Illinois win beat out Wisconsin football for its victory over Ohio State and Wisconsin basketball for its 71-67 win over OSU.

Robinson's two awards were for breakout performer and most dominating performance. His dominating performance came from his 244 yards rushing and 258 yards passing in a 28-24 win at Notre Dame.

He beat out U-M basketball guard Darius Morris and OSU basketball player Jared Sullinger for breakout performer. For dominating performance, he beat out Illinois running back Mikel Leshoure (330 yards rushing vs. Northwestern) and Wisconsin basketball guard Jordan Taylor (21 second-half points vs. top-ranked OSU).

• Best finish: Winner -- MSU football against Notre Dame. Finalists -- U-M football against Illinois; Wisconsin basketball vs. U-M.

• Men's coach of the year: Winner -- Cael Sanderson, Penn State wrestling. Finalists -- Thad Matta, Ohio State basketball; Matt Painter, Purdue basketball;

• Women's coach of the year: Winner -- Mark Johnson, Wisconsin hockey. Finalists -- Carol Hutchins, U-M softball; Coquese Washington, Penn State basketball.

• Most courageous performance: Winner -- Jon Hoese, Minnesota fullback, who had three touchdowns a week after his father suffered a stroke. Finalists -- Mark Dantonio, MSU football; Elliott Mealer, U-M football.

• Men's team of the year: Winner -- Penn State wrestling. Finalists -- OSU basketball; Wisconsin football.

• Women's team of the year: Winner -- Northwestern lacrosse. Finalists -- Penn State volleyball; Wisconsin hockey.
