Wisconsin unions will destroy the economy, just as they have Detroit. Praise to the Govenor who is taking on this issue with good intent and plausible measures. The cities don't have any money. Two choices....lose your job or take a pay cut ( in the form of 12% benefit participation ). I pay over 20% and don't get paid a teachers salary of over $100,000 a year to play for 8 months. Unions....we just don't need them anymore. What do you think? Are Unions still viable in 2011 or is it time to allow Capitalism to win back America?

Fricken Rich - check your data  http://teacherportal.com/teacher-salaries-by-state  or  http://www.teachersalaryinfo.com/average-teacher-salary.html.   Teachers earn nowhere near $100,000.  The national averages were $49,720 in 2009 and $48,353 in 2008.  The range is upper 20's to 60.  Many teachers do not make enough to support a family with two children.  Many teachers use the 2.5 - 3 month vacations to work a part time jobs.
Perhaps your 100,000 figure relates to university professors.  I have no data there, but its also a separate subject.
