Michigan State secured the 10th verbal commitment for its 2012 recruiting class when running back Nick Tompkins out of Snellville, Ga., said he would attend MSU, according to Rivals.com.Tompkins, a three-star recruit according to Rivals, picked the Spartans over offers from Wisconsin, California, Maryland, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Purdue, West Virginia and Boston College, among others.Tompkins plays at Brookville High School and is a former teammate there of current Spartan Andre Sims, Jr.
