Should all Schools in America be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr Day?

A	This is a no brainer. Of course those schools should be closed in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. He is one of the most heroic figures in United States History, in particular, African American history.

B	In most cases, schools should always be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. However, under some circumstances, such as students having already missed days because of bad weather it is okay to have class.

C	Each school district should be able to make its own decisions. It is not the federal government's business to tell state schools what they should or should not do. Hint! Hint! I might be at least a little bit racist

In the video, you learn that there are a few school districts in Georgia and South Carolina that have chosen to not cancel classes in lieu of celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to make up for missed classes caused by the recent bad weather. Several African American Organizations, including the NAACP, are protesting the actions taken by the school districts. The NAACP, the Reverend Al Sharpton, and the Reverend Jessie Jackson have all asked students and families to boycott school today.
