Hawking recently argued in 2010: "There is a fundamental difference between religion, which is based on authority, [and] science, which is based on observation and reason. Science will win because it works." Do you agree with Stephen Hawking? Are religion and science fundamentally different?

WHY RELIGION AND SCIENCE ARE NOT FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT ? Both need proof of its claims... both are subject to faith (belief) based upon the preponderance of the evidence valid to prove it factually correct. Contrary to the view of many, FAITH is not blind. Faith is Substance and evidence to that which remains a Theory alleged to be fact. If I say I believe (have faith) that the moon is made of green cheese, DOESN'T MAKE IT SO You must have substance and evidence to prove your faith for without it your claim is frivolous and without merit just like any claim.
