Best Quote of the Night:

Porsche Briggs: “My pain is not in my arm pits like the other couple girls, it’s like in my shoulder right here.” (points to her right elbow)

Daniele Donato: “The rest of the veterans have all fallen down and then their little lap dog Porsche fell.  Now all I need is for Shelly to fall.”

Jeff Schroeder: “All of the pictures I had in my head of elves at the North pole as a little kid - none of them chained smoked.”

Jordan Lloyd: “I had a bad experience with fish in kindergarten, it scarred me for life.”

We all know it’s not Keith Henderson.

Porsche Briggs did one thing right during the first week that saved her and that was to align herself with the vets.  That doesn’t make her a smooth and clever player though.  She seems to hold grudges and has a need to retaliate.  I think she will be too emotional to make it very far.

Rachel Reilly is just so annoying I hope she isn’t around much longer.   We all know she’s not edited to look bad, she does that on her own.  She says she doesn’t want to do anything to put a target on her back, but she is bullying people all the time.  Furthermore, she’s fighting way too much with Brendon and house guests will start wanting them out just to get rid of the noise they generate.

Brendon Villegas treats Rachel like crap.  The BB cameras don’t lie when they show him making her cry and feel stupid.  He’s controlling, big a bully and seems embarrassed by his fiance’.  I think he thinks he’s better than everyone else in the house.  I want him out, but he’ll probably last too long for my liking.

Cassi Colvin impressed me with her honesty and smarts.  I think she could play a tough game if allowed to stay, but I think she will be leaving tonight.  It’s obvious Rachel hates her because she’s so pretty.

Adam Poch can go home now!

Shelly Moore is a covert backstabber that is on her way to some success in the BB house.  She is so unique it’s crazy.  Her constant smoking, husky man voice, and an ability to fly under the radar that will keep house guest thinking she’s not a threat.

Kalia Booker - Who’s that?

Lawon Exum _ Which one is he?

Dominic Briones is surprisingly cool in the way he plays the game and he is growing on me.  He looks like he’s always thinking and analyzing moves.  He was smart to build a relationship with Danielle because she helped him last week.  I think he will be HOH before any other newbie.

Daniele Donato is an interesting player.  I know she’s smart and will be a tough contestant but I will have to wait a few weeks before I see any action out of her.   The golden ticket will keep her under the radar for a while which will help her game play.  She’s using her safe time to develop her relationship with Dominic and the other house guests.  Is there a showmance brewing with Dominic?

Jordan Lloyd isn’t a push over but she sure likes to come across laid back.  Her social game is way ahead of the curve and is a lot of fun to watch.  She needs to set up her physical game to secure at place in the end.  Jeff is a big bonus to her game.

Jeff Schroeder has shown us he can be politically incorrect and he’s also shown us he can be rude to Jordan but not as rude as Brendon is to Rachel.  I thought he and Jordan were adorable on BB 11, but now he borders on being mean to her.  We’ve all heard him make fun of Jordan and make her out to be dumber than she is.

As a game player he is the best.  He can motivate without making enemies.  For all the flaws I see in his relationship with Jordan, the two of them will probably take each other to the end.

Which house guest do you think will make it all the way to the end?

Charlie Sheen is returning to the small screen!  It has just been announced that his new show will be based on  the the movie "Anger Management".  It's been reported that Charlie's character will be an ex-jock who becomes a counselor to defendants, in the justice system, that have problems with anger management.  So far, this new sitcom doesn't have a network to air the show.  Most likely, it will find a home network soon. Will you watch Charlie Sheen's new TV show?

Is the obit written on Charlie Harper or will Chuck Lorre fine tune it a few more times before the show Two and a Half Men is filmed on August 5th?  Scenarios are being worked up to insure that Charlie Sheen can never come back on the comedy hit sitcom.  Most scenarios have his character Charlie harper pushing up daisies.  One has him driving his car off a cliff which in a way is imitating real life.  Didn’t Charlie Sheen drive his career off a cliff?

My question is how will they keep this comedy funny when it’s premier will be so dark? Alan and Jake will learn Charlie Harper bit the dust and season 9 will be off to a bad start.  Some viewers see this scenario as just another subtle message from Chuck Lorre to mock Charlie Sheen.  Other viewers think it will be incredibly unimaginative and boring and the show will be the walking dead.  And then there are those viewers that write “Charlie harper dead , finally an episode worth watching.”

How do you feel about it?  Charlie Harper dead good idea or bad?

After experiencing the So You Think You Can Dance holding room nerves, many contestants were sent home leaving 10 guys and 10 girls behind.  The twenty that got to continue their dance journey proved to be awesome contenders as they divided up guys vs. girls and performed two original routines.

Prior to watching the guys perform a Chris Scott choreographed routine on the big stage, we watched them work it out in practice.  They were expected to mix hip hop with contemporary which they all eventually mastered.  One of the guys remarked that going from hip hop to contemporary was like swimming in the shallow end of a pool and then going straight to the deep end.  Their routine was as, Nigel put it, “ a successful ride through the jungle of extraordinary dancing.”  Chris Scott was praised as the master of ceremonies when mixing styles.  He had a bag of tricks tonight that wouldn’t quite.  Five red doors were opening and slamming shut as the dancers incorporated them into their routine.  All were dressed in slick grey suits with red ties.  They were synchronized, smooth, and showed great strength.

The 10 girls danced a Geisha girl routine choreographed by Sonja Tayeh.  She was an intense instructor that drove the girls through to a week of screaming muscles.  The word brutal was used a few times.  But they looked great on stage in their very colorful costumes and their moves were powerful and geisha like in a creepy, twisted way.  Judges were pleased with their performance too, commenting on their synergy and that they demonstrated the ability to be dancers on the interior as well as the exterior.

Which performance did you enjoy the most, guys or girls?

What will be the wages of Jonathan Edwards sin?  Or was it a sin as far as the government is concerned?  In 2006 he began carrying on an extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter who later became pregnant.  In 2007 a Edwards supporter Multimillionaire heiress Rachel “Bunny” Mellon began sending money for his campaign.  The money ($725,000 in checks) ended up paying for private jets and hotel rooms for Hunter.  Taking big sums for financing a campaign with out reporting it to the FEC is clearly a serious crime, but hard to prove.  John says ”I’ve done wrong, but I did not break the law.”  He can say this partly because the law is vague and partly because his state of mind will influence how his actions are viewed by the justice system.  Consequently, the case will be hard to prove.  The primary question is whether the money actually was used to assist in Edwards campaign.  The indictment argues that Edwards presidential bid hinged on his “public image as a devoted family man.”  Therefore, using money to keep Hunter out of the spotlight was a donation to the campaign and a clear campaign violation.  If he was using the money to conceal the affair from his wife that would be immoral, but not illegal.  Was John Edwards actions morally deplorable or criminal?

In 2006 country singer Sara Evans announced that she would be participating in the third season of Dancing with the Stars.   I was excited to hear that one of my favorite country singers would be on one of my favorite shows.  It seemed liked the perfect platform to get this country cutie to the next level on her road to becoming a household name.

Like everyone else, I was very surprised when Evans quit DWTS and filed for divorce.  For years Sara had marketed her relationship to then husband, Craig Schelske, as the ideal Christian marriage.   The weirdest part for me was how public she made the divorce. She released a very detailed PR statement, and it was like a carrot dangling for gossip tabloids to find and devour the salacious divorce filing.

Right away there were indications that Sara’s desire for privacy might not be sincere.   First of all, the PR statement pointed out where and when she was filing and that it would contain information that would shed light on the status of her marriage.  Such information is never included in celebrity PR divorce statements when children are involved.  This information made locating the divorce filing incredibly easy for the tabloids.   Also, the day of filing, per her request, she scheduled an exclusive interview with DWTS to be aired within the week of her exit from the show.

In an interview in 2011 she commented on this interview: "Dancing With the Stars helped my career a ton," she said. "I had millions and millions of people that knew about me that didn't know about me before. It made me a household name. Everybody knew. Not that any of the drama that happened on there was good, but because that happened during that time, everybody knows who I am now.”

Well, the gossip tabloids found a treasure trove of headlines in her divorce filing.  Sara Evans alleged that her then husband, Craig, had an affair with their children’s nanny Alison Clinton Lee.  The filing also stated that there were over 100 photos of Craig with other women.  Craig and the former nanny, Alison, denied the allegations and both went to great lengths to prove their innocence.  Alison took a lie detector test on national television and passed with flying colors.  In addition, she sued Sara and her divorce attorney, John Hollins Sr., and settled out of court for over 500,000 dollars.  Her ex-husband sued Sara’s divorce attorney, John Hollins Sr., for a statement that Hollins made to People Magazine concerning the alleged photos.  When asked Hollins was unable to produce the alleged photos for the courts.  Last March, Craig won an undisclosed settlement and a public apology from John Hollins Sr.  The apology reads:

"My firm and I represented Sara Evans in a highly contested divorce from Craig Schelske,"  "I represented Sara Evans to the best of my ability. I regret that my actions on behalf of Sara Evans caused Mr. Schelske harm in any way."

Five years ago, 21 million people watched Sara’s DWTS good-bye interview.  A lot of water has run under the bridge since then.  Her ex-husband and ex-nanny have been cleared of Sara's allegations.  Now that Sara is using DWTS again to boost her career I think it’s reasonable that she apologize, as her ex-attorney has done, for her wrongful allegations.  Do you think Sara Evans should apologize?

Throughout photographic history, release of dead body photos has been the standard to resolve any doubts about a mass murder’s death.  On Monday Sens. Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins, both members of Homeland security, said photos of Osama bin Laden’s body should be released.  They said they would leave it up to President Obamas’s judgment, but would prefer they be released.

It was Lieberman who stated that the release of photos may be necessary if the people in al-Qaida do not acknowledge that bin Laden is dead.  Personally, I have no doubts bin laden was killed, but I agree with Lieberman that it is necessary to release the pictures -as gruesome as they inevitably will be.

Do you think pictures of Osama bin Laden’s dead body need to be released?

Suppose your ex got “custody” of the dog after a breakup, should you have a right to visitation?  After all, they are just like family-no they are family.  Breakups can get even more bitter and out of control because of the “who gets the pet problem.” Consider the poor pets who suffer and show signs of stress such as chasing their tail or excessive licking.  There are many people who would rather go to jail then surrender their pet, but when there are two people involved, and there always are, one gets the dog and one doesn’t.  I think doggy visiting rights is a “somewhat fair” solution for both the exiled ex and fido. Should there be pet visitation after a breakup?

The deputy D.A. Danette Meyers made an offer to Lindsay’s lawyer today: six months in jail.  I have a feeling that Lindsay is taking a pass because she’s not the type to accept jail.  At least, not until she has to go and she will have to go to jail for the probation violation if the judge feels it’s likely that Lindsay stoled the necklace.  She’ll be thrown in jail while she awaits trail even if she isn’t found guilty of grand theft.  If she doesn’t take the plea deal she runs the risk of being given more than 6 months.  If I was Lindsay I’d take the offer now instead of getting more time later.  Do you think Lindsay should take the 6 month plea deal?
